Previous experience and project personnel


Makerere University, School of Distance and Lifelong Learning (SoDLL) then Institute of Adult and Continuing Education (IACE) have hosted three projects funded by DFID through British Council Uganda and Manchester. The first project focused on improving capacity to offer skills development-training programmes. The second 18 months Project with Leeds Metropolitan University focused on Youth Entrepreneurship and Employability; the third is an ongoing three years Multilateral DelPHE Project focusing on literacy for improved livelihoods practices for rural people. In all these projects, Dr G. L. Openjuru has been the lead person and is still the lead person in this on going project.

Mountain of the Moon University (MMU) Department of Business Management has hosted a number of international technical advisors and volunteers over the years including individuals from GIZ (formerly DED) and the Voluntary Mission Movement (VMM). Between 2009 and 2010, a partnership with Deutschemark enabled the creation of a curriculum for a new BSc Banking and Rural Microfinance. Mr Moses Mpamizo has been representing MMU on the EPA project concluded in early 2011 he is working closely with Ms Christine Kobugabe the Head of Department who is the lead person in MMU.
