Department of Adult and Community Education

Dr Janice Busingye

We warmly welcome you to the Department of Adult and Community Education. As a profession, both our teaching and non teaching staff engage in the core values of: promoting research, commitment to diversity, understanding human developmental theories, and emphasising direct supervision in Adult training.

Our commitment and dedication to the core value base is reflected throughout our programs, our curriculum, and our interactions with students, fellow professionals, the University and beyond.

As a Department, we are so proud to work with a group of distinguished colleagues who represent the best scholars and professionals in the field of Adult Education.  We are also pleased to inform you that we offer two strong degree programs, Bachelor of Adult and Community Education and Master of Adult and Community Education which embrace the core values of the profession.

We also offer certificate programs for individuals seeking certification in Guidance and Counselling, as well as Computer applications.  The students that comprise our program have strong academic skills, and are motivated to become top-notch professionals in their respective specialty areas.  We therefore encourage you to visit our website for a broader perspective of who we are and what we offer.

To all prospective students, we assure you that if you decide to apply and are accepted into any one of our programs, rest assured of entering a program that helps prepare individuals to work in the Adult Education environment.  One mission of our department is to enhance the lives of students seeking to grow as professionals and as practical citizens.  So we shall be privileged to meet you, and we are confident your academic journey will be filled with intellectual stimulations and many memorable moments of support.

We encourage you to make contact with our department and find out how we may assist you in achieving your professional goals
